International Roundup in Medora
Recently, Medora hosted the International Roundup (IRU), a three-day event that welcomed 200 participants, including 40 international tourism operators from 14 countries. This gathering aimed to showcase North Dakota’s attractions and foster collaborations with regional tourism operators from the Great American West, which includes North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming, and Idaho. Through pre- and post-tour experiences, these operators visited more than 16 communities across the state, highlighting North Dakota’s diverse destinations and cultural heritage. Global Talent Summit
In August 2025, the North Dakota Department of Commerce’s Global Talent Office hosted the Global Talent Summit at Bismarck State College. The summit convened national and international experts to explore legal immigration as a strategic solution to workforce challenges. Over 100 attendees participated in sessions covering the U.S. immigration landscape, hiring pathways, and best practices for integrating and retaining global talent. Participation in National Governors Association Winter Meeting
Governor Armstrong and First Lady Kjersti Armstrong attended the National Governors Association (NGA) Winter Meeting in Washington, D.C. The event provided a platform for governors to share ideas and discuss challenges and opportunities. Governor Armstrong participated in a panel discussion on energy and infrastructure permitting reform and attended a White House business session with President Donald Trump.
